Ingredients
2 packages Pine View Farms Chicken Wings
1/2 cup Nut Butter of your choice (cashew, almond, peanut or seed substitute)
2 tbsp Coconut Aminos or Soya Sauce
2 tbsp Rice Vinegar
2 tbsp Honey
1-2 tbsp Fresh Lime Juice
1 tbsp grated Ginger
1 tbsp grated Garlic Hot sauce (optional)
Coconut Milk or Water (to thin)
1 tbsp Garlic Powd er
1 tbsp Onion Powder
Salt
Pepper
Directions
- For the sauce, Combine nut or seed butter, honey, coconut aminos, vinegar, lime, ginger, garlic and hot sauce if using. Mix until combined. For a thinner sauce add more liquid and adjust to your liking! Tip: save extra sauce for salads, or as a dip!
- For the wings, Heat barbecue to 425-4F. Sear each side of the wings for 4 minutes. Move all wings to one side of the barbecue and decrease the temperature that side to low heat (indirect grilling). Keep the empty side on medium high heat holding a temp around 375-400 F. Turn wings every 4 minutes. Do this 4-5 times depending on desired doneness. (Approximate cook time is 30 minutes total) Remove wings from barbecue.
- Toss with sauce and top with crushed nuts or seeds and diced cherry tomatoes. Enjoy as an appetizer or with your favourite sides.
