1 package Pine View Farms Beef back ribs 

1/2 tbsp brown sugar

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp ground ginger

1/2 tsp cinnamon

Salt + Pepper


2 pears

3 garlic cloves

1 tbsp fresh ginger

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tbsp Apple cider vinegar

1 1/2 tbsp molasses

1/2 cup honey

1 tsp salt Black pepper

1 tbsp avocado or olive oil


  1. In a small saucepan, add oil and heat to medium. Then add in diced garlic and zested ginger root, once garlic is browned, add in peeled pear and remaining ingredients. Allow to simmer for 10 minutes, blend and allow to cool.
  2. Pour 1/4 cup of the sauce over Beef Ribs and allow to marinate for minimum 2 hours.  Preheat oven to 250F.
  3. Remove marinated beef ribs from the fridge. Rub with spice mix : 1 tbsp brown sugar, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder, 1/2 tsp ground ginger, 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon, salt and pepper.
  4.   In a cast iron pan or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, add ribs and place in the oven, uncovered for 1 hour, remove from the oven and add 1/3 of the sauce remaining, bake in the oven for another hour, remove from the oven and add another 1/2 the remaining sauce. Bake for another hour in the oven, remove and add rest of the sauce and bake for another 1/2-1 hour. Remove and enjoy with your favourite rice or noodle dish and a salad.
