
Apple Cider Pulled Pork

Ingredients
1 Pine View Farms pork shoulder or leg roast
2 Apples
2 cups Apple Cider (or juice)
2 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
1 large Onion
6-8 Garlic Cloves
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ginger
1 tbsp onion powder
Salt and pepper
2 cups Pine View Farms Chicken broth
1 tbsp olive oil
Directions
- Mix together onion powder, cinnamon, ginger powder, salt and pepper in a small bowl. Rub thawed pork roast with spice mix.
- In a large pan heat 1 tbsp olive oil and add diced garlic and pork shoulder roast. Sear each side, then add to the slow cooker.
- Core and slice apples, thinly slice onions and add both to a slow cooker along with broth and juice. Cook on low for 5.5 - 6 hours Once pork is cooked, shred pork and add in juices. Enjoy on a bun, with bacon jam, BBQ sauce or with your favorite other sides.
