1 Pine View Farms pork shoulder or leg roast

2 Apples

2 cups Apple Cider (or  juice)

2 tbsp Apple cider vinegar

1 large Onion

6-8 Garlic Cloves

2 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp ginger

1 tbsp onion powder

Salt and pepper

2 cups Pine View Farms Chicken broth

1 tbsp olive oil


  1. Mix together onion powder, cinnamon, ginger powder, salt and pepper in a small bowl. Rub thawed pork roast with spice mix.
  2. In a large pan heat 1 tbsp olive oil and add diced garlic and pork shoulder roast. Sear each side, then add to the slow cooker.
  3. Core and slice apples, thinly slice onions and add both to a slow cooker along with broth and juice. Cook on low for 5.5 - 6 hours Once pork is cooked, shred pork and add in juices. Enjoy on a bun, with bacon jam, BBQ sauce or with your favorite other sides.
