Ingredients
3 cups dried navy or pinto beans (or 4 cups canned beans)
1 package Pine View Farms' bacon (optional)
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup tomato paste
1 tsp mustard powder
1 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
4 cups Pine View Farms' bone broth
1/4 cup molasses
1 onion diced
3 garlic cloves diced 1
tbsp coconut aminos or soy sauce
1 cup shredded or chopped pork loin roast (we recommend using a cold smoked pork roast or BBQ pulled pork)
Directions
- If using dried beans: Soak beans for 24 hours with 2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar, 1 tsp baking Soda, and filtered water to cover. Rinse and drain the beans.
- Preheat oven to 400F. In a large baking dish (cast iron preferred) add all ingredients and mix well until combined. If using canned beans, bake in the oven for 60 minutes. If using soaked beans, bake in the oven (covered) for 4-6 hours depending on desired doneness of beans. Remove from oven and enjoy!
