Beef Donair
Ready in 60 - 90 minutes

Ingredients
1 1/2 - 2 lb. Pine View Farms' ground beef
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp cayenne
1 tbsp paprika
2 tsp oregano
2 tsp parsley
Homemade Donair Sauce:
1 cup soaked cashews*
1-2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp honey
1/2 - 1 cup Water (start with 1/2 and decide how thick you like your sauce)
Salt & Pepper to taste
2 tbsp White or Apple cider vinegar
Homemade Flatbread:
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup water (or milk)
1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
1 tbsp olive oil
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 400° F.
- In a large bowl, combine seasonings with the beef.
- Press into a loaf pan. Bake in a preheated oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
- To make the donair sauce, combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until creamy, adding enough water to get the consistency you desire.
- To make the flatbread, mix dry ingredients together, then add in wet ingredients. Knead the dough by putting the dough to a floured surface to knead for a few minutes, until it is smooth and no longer sticky. Add more flour if necessary.
- To serve, thinly slice meat. Serve on pita or flatbread with Donair Sauce, peppers, tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, lettuce etc.
