Throw a Summer Party on a Budget!
|We Love to Party! Pre-pandemic, we hosted a barn party of some sort every summer --- church picnics, birthday parties, a potluck garden feast, wiener roasts, and barn dances. Now we're finding our groove again!
You don't have to break the bank to host a good party. Whether it's a s'more and campfire night or a movie in the backyard, all you need is a theme paired with simple good food. Let your imagination roam!
Host a Hot Dog Bar
Hot dogs are relatively inexpensive and kids love them. You can offer a variety of hot dogs , our new chicken 'n cheddar smokies, or add bratwurst to the mix. Of course, adding a vegan option is a good idea too --- we just can't help you with that! Offer a buffet of toppings like guacamole, pickled peppers, various mustards, fried onions, chopped tomatoes, and shredded cheese --- everyone can create their perfect dog!
Bring Your Own Grill
Summer = BBQ, right? Set up the grill and ask your guests to bring a favourite meat or vegetable to add to the BBQ. That way, you keep your spending to a minimum and everyone has something to enjoy.
Farmer's Market Party
A checkered tablecloth or picnic blanket is enough to convey the rustic vibe. Simple, fresh ingredients like corn on the cob, new potatoes and a tossed salad paired with roasted or grilled meat, don't require much preparation. Salt, pepper and butter is all you need. Celebrate LOCAL this summer!
What's your summer party idea? We'd love to hear from you.
